Why do I need to go through multi-factor authentication (MFA) when I log into the app?

We use multi-factor authentication (MFA) to keep your account - and your personal information - safe.

Losing access to your personal details or financial data can be stressful. That’s why MFA, along with strong passwords, adds an extra layer of protection.

Why it matters

MFA helps keep your account secure, especially when:

  • You’re logging in from a new device

  • You’ve been logged out and are signing back in

  • You’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app

  • You’ve upgraded to a new phone or switched devices

Good to know

  • Once you log in, you can stay signed in on version 2.0.0 and above of the app.

  • That means you won’t need to complete MFA again for 365 days (a whole year of no extra logins!).

Tip: Think of MFA as a quick step that keeps you in control of your account. It’s a small action for a big boost in security.
